Painter’s House

Our first housing project was a family house and studio designed for a painter and his family in Zebegény, a small village located on a hillside among the Danube. I wanted to separate the painters studio from the house, as I believe that painting is the kind of activity that requires peace, tranquillity and therefore: withdrawal. The further concept of the house concentrated on the sloping character of the hillside and the beautiful view from the project site.
